Parker Hannifin was in need of a new wireless data collection system for their entire 280,000 square foot distribution center in Louisville, Kentucky. They were looking for a system that would prove to be more efficient, reliable and compatible with data collection devices of the future.

Paragon fulfilled Parker Hannifin’s needs by installing eight Intermec 802.11B open access points with slots for additional radio cards and 40 Antares handheld computers with standard/long range laser scanners with alphanumeric key pads. “The RF coverage is at minimum good and in most cases excellent! This includes extreme corners of the building and the static racking portions of the building,” stated Mark Ritchey, Parker Hannifin’s manager of this project.

Paragon also completed this project in only three days, thanks to their Wep-On software. Wep-On allows the installer to enter a set of configurations into a computer that turns the information into a printed report of scannable bar codes, from which all scanners can be configured.
