Paragon Data Systems Ranks Fourth on the 2002 Weatherhead 100 List
September 15, 2003 – Cleveland, OH – Appearing on the Weatherhead 100 List for the first time in 2002, data collection systems integrator Paragon Data Systems, Inc. ranks fourth.
First compiled in 1987 by Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management, The Weatherhead 100 List recognizes the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio. To be eligible for nomination to the list, companies must possess the highest percentage growth in net sales over the previous five years with at least $100,000 of sales in the year, $1 million or more in sales in the fifth year, and an increase in net sales between the fourth and fifth years. Additionally a minimum of 16 full-time employees in the fifth year is required.
Paragon Data Systems, Inc. earned its place on the list by achieving a sales growth percentage of 1,688, for the 2002 qualifying period of 1997 through 2001. “This achievement was purely a team effort,” Paragon President Larry Laurenzi explained, “From the very beginning, we have had dedicated sales and technical teams committed to the success of the company,” he concluded.
Paragon Data Systems, which was established in 1996, started out selling bar code printers, data collection hardware, and turn key system solutions for the automotive, manufacturing and retail industries. Today, the company has expanded into the wireless and data collection enhancement software markets.
